Today is so yucky and grey. Time for some retail therapy! ;)

I'm going to the mall with Ben today to get him some cute summer stuff. Yesterday was his birthday! Yippee!

Anyway- This is what I'm wearing. I found these Chanel shoes at a sample sale (YAY) and Stella thought they looked delicious I guess. I tried to explain to her that if she was going to start chewing shoes, we would have a big problem.

Shoe Of The Day

Wow. I'm not sure that glam gets as close to tacky as these Swarovski encrusted Miu Miu platforms do but dammit! the teeny part of me that's total Dynasty loves them!

Net A Porter describe them as Studio 54 chic and to be fair, if they didn't have the crystals, they would make an excellent pair of disco dancing shoes.

Actually can you disco dance on a yacht? If you can, then they'd be perfect as they are.

But only if you have £357 to splash.

Here are 4 more high heel photos of the last photoshooting-session with my friend. This time - as requested - wearing my 5 inch open-front oxford style High Heels in black gloss leather. As we have the same shoesize, she actually lended this shoes already a couple of times from me for going out because she likes this heels so much. For all - a bit neglected (sorry for that) stockings fans - there will be some really amazing and sexy high heels and stockings pix - you will like them for sure ;).

Shoe Of The Day

I promised you glitz and glamour and these jewelled lovelies from Giuseppe Zanotti certainly deliver.

For saying they are all bling, they look surprisingly restrained and I could actually imagine wearing them. Following a spray tan and wearing a slit to the thigh Versace gown of course.

For the rather pricey sum of $1045 from Neiman Marcus, you'd definitely need your own wealth or that of a millionaire yacht owner to have them!

It's Glittery Fabulous Shoe Week!

Seeing as how I've been away busy Doing Other Things (namely getting myself some classroom experience before I start my teacher training eek!), I've decided that you need to see the most ridiculously over the top glamorously glitteringly FABULOUS shoes I can find to make up for the lack of posting action.

It's partly inspired by the Bank Holiday weekend which featured the finale of the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix which generally conjure up images of perma-tanned, perma-highlighted Euro ladies swanning around on ridiculously large yachts with their very much older luurrrrvers who would feature in Hello! in their "sumptuous" villas which contained lots of cream and gold upholstery.

Ahem. You get the picture...!

Ok, Ok... One More

One more group! This one is actually my favorite, but I decided to take it in a slightly edgier direction, so really... it won't look anything like this so I can show you guys. 

This is my Vintage Lingerie inspired group. Think petticoats, bloomers and garter straps! :)

So right now I'm busting my ass trying to finish the REAL sketches for the Spring 2010 collection. I have to finish by Friday so I'm a little more than a little stressed. I'll make it happen though. And I'll keep you all updated. ;)

Nike Air Jordan 1 - Icy Pack

Pünktlich für den warmen Sommer kommt der Nike Air Jordan 1 in einem leckeren Erdbeer-Eis-Look für Frauen. Das Obermaterial ist komplett aus einfarbigem Lackleder. Dies wird wohl eher ein reiner "Girlie"-Schuh sein.

adidas Superstars Phillies Blunt Limited Edition

Phillies Blunt ist für mich der Inbegriff der 90er Jahre, als die ersten Streetware-Klamotten nach Deutschland kamen. Das unverkennbare Logo zierte damals so einige T-Shirts. Nun kommt der adidas Superstar im Phillies Blunt Design. Das Logo wurde auf der Zunge des Schuhs etwas angepaßt und zeigt statt dem Phillies Blunt Schriftzug, das adidas Logo. Auch ist der gesamte Schuh in den Markenfarben rot/weiß/braun gehalten. Das Obermaterial hat einen Knautschlook, welcher wie die Haut einer Zigarre aussieht. Wo und wann der Schuh zu haben ist, ist leider noch unbekannt.

Nike Air Force 1 1World Project: Rio Ferdinand

Für das Nike 1World Projekt, welches seit Beginn des Jahres immer wieder ausgefallene Kooperationen mit Künstlern, Sportlern oder anderen Celebrities herausbringt, gibt es weiteren Nachwuchs: diesmal mit Fussballstar Rio Ferdinand. Dabei entstand ein fast vollkommen weißer Nike Air Force 1, der lediglich einen goldenen Swoosh hat sowie jeweils eine goldene 5 und ein V an der Ferse des Schuhs gestickt. Die Sohle leuchtet im Dunkeln und auf der Innenseite des Futters ist ein Zitat von Rio Ferdinand geschrieben. Der Schuh wird leider nur im Mercer Store in NYC zu haben sein.

My Betsey Johnson Presentation...

Well, part of it anyway. I can't show you the stuff we are using from it cause, well obvs I can't show you stuff that will be made THIS early on. ;)

This was a group I did that Betsey said she liked, but that was too "fashioney" for Betsey and not girly enough? Which is fine... cause now I can show you it. ;)

So there you have it. :) The rest of the presentation was 4 other groups with a theme, inspiration tears, and sketches. It was a lot of work and I felt like I was in school again, but I was really happy with the final result and Betsey liked it so- YAY!

Blind Date in New York

So, since I got the Betsey job (!!!) that means I'll now be a bicoastal kinda gal! I figured it was time to make new friends in New York since my friend and fellow shoe designer Ana was in China and she was the only NY friend I had.

My friend Juls has a friend here and she stepped in to play matchmaker. Total blind date style!

Off I went to meet my new friend Jen for some vegan soul food at Red Bamboo... seriously. It was DELISH!! Jen and I became instant friends and even made a shopping detour where I got some pretty great stuff. This necklace thingy is my favorite find! I wore it with my new tiger sweatshirt (another great find) yesterday to run around the city with Betsey's design director.

You guys know I LOVE my Lanvin flats. Great for walking all day!


On our "date" Jen was wearing this necklace that I am now obsessed with and need to obtain. It's called the bicoastal necklace... perfect, no?
Anyway, it's back to California today but I'll be back in a couple weeks where I will make it my mission to have an outing with Miss Wendy B herself. ;)

thanks a lot for the very warm welcome of my friend by all of you high heel fans!!! it looks like you like my friend and her legs ;-). i'll show her all your nice comments on the last posting - and maybe you are lucky and she will show her face. here are some more fotos from this last high heel foto shooting showing my black 5 inch high heels with a metal heel.... good news as well, we did already another shoe-foto-shooting (one with my 5.5 inch high heels and another one with my 5 inch oxford style pumps) - so i can show u some more - very nice - high heels photos soon!!

adidas x maharishi Fall 2009 Stan Smith

Eine neue Kooperation zwischen adidas und dem Londoner Label maharishi, hat einen neuen adidas Stan Smith zur Folge. Der Schuh ist aus himmelblauem Canvas und zeigt das maharishi Logo an der Ferse. Der Schuh wird ab Herbst 2009 erhältlich sein.

Air Jordan V - Toro Bravo Pack

Ab dem 23. Mai (man beachte das Datum!) kommt das neue Air Jordan V - Toro Bravo Pack heraus. Diesmal besteht das Jordan Pack nicht aus zwei unterschiedlichen Modellen, sondern aus einem Modell mit zwei Designs. Der eine Jordan V ist schwarz, aus 3M Obermaterial, der andere ist rot aus Wildleder. Beide Schuhe werden in einer gemeinsamen Box ausgeliefert, die mit Holzplanken bedruckt ist, aus denen die roten Augen eines Bulls herausgucken. Der Preis für das limitierte Pack liegt bei Rund 300,- US $.

GETTRY x Asics Procourt AR "Hamburger"

Vor einigen Mmonaten zeigten wir den Nike Air Max 90 Hamburger, der allerdings wirklich zum Essen war. Jetzt bringt Asisc in Zusammenarbeit mit GETTRY, einem Japanischen Sneakerstore, einen wirklichen Sneaker zu diesem Thema heraus. Der Asics Procourt AR wurde eben hierbei durch einen Hamburger und dessen Farbpalette inspiriert. Die Innensohle zeigt einen Pommes Frites Print. Da könnte man heisse Sohle kriegen.

adidas ZX 500 Sommer 2009

Diesen Sommer erwarten uns zwei neue adidas ZX 500 Modelle, die beide sehr cool aussehen und den Sommer verschönern werden. Beide Schuhe kombinieren Leder und Mesh und kommen einmal in verschiedenen Blautönen sowie grau/grün. Zur Zeit kann man sie bei weare.de vorbestellen. Die Veröffentlichung ist für den Juli geplant.

adidas The Complete Ride: Solebox x Hypebeast

Der Hersteller adidas, das Modeportal Hypebeast und der Sneakershop Solebox, haben sich, wie bereits vor einigen Tagen erwähnt, zu einem neuen Projekt zusammengerauft. Dabei entwarfen die Parteien den neuen Schuh Zeitfrei, der durch den Radsport inspiriert wurde. Aus diesem Grund gibt es noch gleichzeitig jeweils ein Showbike des Radherstellers Bianci, in den selben Farben wie die Modelle. Nur 50 Stück werden jeweils von jedem Schuh in den Handel kommen. Weitere 50 Stück werden an Freunde und Partner verschenkt. Jeweils zu den Schuhen gibt es noch verschieden Accessoires. Die Modelle werden ab dem 29. Mai exklusiv bei Solebox oder Hypebeast erhältlich sein.
