Auf den ersten Blick hat dieser recht schlichte Nike SB Dunk nichts mit TV zu tun. Schaut man sich aber die Innensohle an, findet man das alte TV Testbild. Der Rest des Schuhs ist eine Mischung aus grauem und schwarzem Wildleder.
4 1/2 Hours on My Feet...
The day after the dinner, my twinnie Christie and I decided we'd pop by the Louboutin signing to have our shoe boxes signed real quick. Hahaha! Real quick.
...cut to 4 1/2 hours later. Our feet were killing us, we hadn't eaten all day (besides the pure sugar "cakes" they passed out) and we were getting cranky. We tried to make light of it and made fun of the situation. We definitely kept ourselves entertained.
The women in line with us were super great also, so that helped. We had an adorable mom of 2 next to us, and her twin girls were SO well behaved, it was crazy. Behind her was a mom with a baby... a BABY... that never cried once. They must be future shoe girls.
Christian Louboutin was amazing. He spent time with every single person in line (which explains the 4.5 hour wait) talking and taking pictures. He really was a great sport. I hear some people even waited for close to 8 hours!!

This is me and reader Mika! She said she recognized me by my shoes and blonde hair. So cute.
About halfway through waiting I got bored and decided to buy these amazing new bright yellow pumps. SO cute!
I wore my new "sexy ice creams" to the signing, so you can imagine the pain I was feeling. Ouch, but so worth it.
Me and my new BFF. We totally match. ;)
(cause I was wearing a Barbie necklace)The day was crazy and hectic and totally fun. I was glad to get home and off my feet though!

Paule Marrot x Nike Sportswear Skinny Dunk Kollektion
Der französische Textildesigner Paule Marrot und Nike Sportswear haben mit dieser Zusammenarbeit ein paar echt schöne Nike Dunks entworfen. Leider sind sie nur für die Damenwelt gedacht, daher der Name Nike Skinny Dunks. Zwei der Schuhe haben das Aurore Textildesign mit Schmetterlingen und Federn, die anderen beiden Sneaker Kirschen. Herauskommen sollen sie alle diesen Sommer.

Einer der dieses Frühjahr erscheinenden Nike SB's, ist der Nike SB Blazer "Chicago". Designed von Skaterlegende Stevie Dread Snyder, erscheint der Sneaker in den Chicagoer Stadtfarben, weiß und hellblau mit rotem Innenfutter. Die Flage der Stadt ist auf der Zunge zu finden. Sowohl der Swoosh, als auch das Schuhobermaterial, sind aus Wildleder.

Onitsuka Tiger stellt erste Schuh-Verkaufs-Automaten auf
Das man in Japan schon alles Mögliche und Unmögliche in Automaten kaufen kann ist nun schpn lange bekannt. Aber zum 60. Geburtstag von Onitsuka Tiger wurden in ganz England nun Schuh-Verkaufs-Automaten aufgestellt. Denn nachdem Anfang 2008 der erste Automat in London recht erfolgreich aufgenommen wurde, entschied man sich dieses Konzept weiter auszubauen. So kann man zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit ein Paar Sneakers kaufen. Ein wundervolle Sache, nachdem man z.B. mit drückenden Schuhen durch halb London gelascht ist oder die Highheels nach dem Clubbesuch nerven. Jeder Automat fasst übrigens 24 Paar Schuhe, die irgendwo zwischen 60 und 80 USD kosten. Also könnte der Spruch der Zukunft lauten: "Schatz ich geh mal schnell Sneaker holen!" ... und er ward nie mehr gesehen.

So Kate Winslet FINALLY (inevitably?) won an Oscar and did so wearing a very understated but beautiful Yves Saint Laurent dress.
It managed to incorporate the one shoulder trend but also had a very beautiful lace overlay on it too. The colour and the fit were perfect for Kate and her jewellery complemented it all.
And I loved Mr Jay telling us that while her hair looked retro it was actually very futuristic! Amazing!

Oscars 2009 WIN!: Alicia Keys
Alicia Keys joined Natalie Portman with the pink thing and looked gorgeous in this Armani Privé dress with a daring split up the side.
Although her make up was a bit much, this was a simple but youthfully elegant look.

SJP can always be relied upon to look stunning in one way or another. This time it was old school glamour in Dior Haute Couture or, as she insisted on pronouncing it, Oat Couture. Insert your own jokes here.
Mr Jay complained about the lack of product in her hair but I think the floaty romantic curl look is perfect for such a floaty romantic dress. She was also very lovely to Seacrest and Fearne Cotton which also wins her points.

While there's no doubt that Amanda Seyfried is a pretty young thing, this Valentino dress is not the right thing to be wearing. Ok so bows are in but surely not to make yourself look like a giant present? Especially when it adds unnecessary bulk?
I'm not sure that the shoes are right either. So in conclusion, pretty until you get to the shoulders then fug all the way down to the shoes.

Marisa Tomei managed to tick off most trends for the evening and looked stunning. I think this dress by Versace wins on so many levels - the pleating, the colour, the fit - it just worked so well on her.

It hurts my soul a little bit to tell you that Frieda Pinto's dress was designed by John Galliano. I suspect that my lack of love for this dress is because it just seemed too old for her. And because on reflection, it's not the best thing that Galliano has ever designed. The colour is fabulous but it seems very old fashioned and not in a good vintage way.
On the plus side, her hair and make up were flawless and she got to walk the carpet with the very cute Dev Patel who she may or may not be going out with. Kudos to them for not punching Seacrest as well.

Reebok kündigte an, dass Christopher Shannon, einer der derzeit angesagtesten Designer von Männermoden, bei seiner MAN Fashion East Show im Rahmen der London Fashion Week zwei brandneue Reebok-Modelle vorstellen wird. Bei der Christopher Shannon Show am Mittwoch, dem 25. Februar werden sowohl der Kultschuh Reebok Pump als auch der modernistische Ex-O-Fit SG Strap eine Rolle spielen. Mit der Einbindung dieser beiden richtungsweisenden Modelle verschmelzen authentische Tradition und futuristische Moderne. Die beiden Modelle AXT Pump und EX-O-FIT Hi Straps sind für ca. 125,- EUR bei den üblichen Verdächtigen , wie Overkill, Solebox oder TheGoodWillOut erhältlich.

Miadidas - Mass Customization
Nachdem schon vor Jahren Nike mit Nike ID in den Bereich Mass Customization vorgedrungen ist, zieht Adidas nun nach. Seit einiger Zeit kann man bereits in den Adidas Original Shops Schuhe customizen. Auch war die Auswahl an Schuhen, welche zur Verfügung standen sehr begrenzt. In den USA ist jetzt die Online Varianten live gegangen. Unter Miadidas.com kann man sich aus einer recht ansehnlichen Auswahl einen Schuh entwerfen lassen. Dazu gehören z.B. der Superstar, der Stan Smith, der TS Lightning Creator, der TS Bounce Commander, der ZX 700 und einige andere. Dann kann es ja nicht mehr lange dauern, dass dieser Service auch in Deutschland online geht.

I don't know how she/her stylist got hold of this but Penelope Cruz looked beautiful in this vintage 1950s Balmain dress. Although it could have been seen as a bit fussy what with the large lace detailing on the skirt, it was subtle enough to be elegant and classic.
I did read some snipey comments that it was a bit wedding dressy but surely that's down to the colour (a very popular one for the evening) than anything else. And quite frankly other than getting married, where else can you wear such a dress other than at the Oscars?!

Die neue Frühjahrskollektion von Creative Recreation kommt so langsam in den Läden an. So sind die typischen Farbkombinationen von Creative Recreation ihrer Linie treu geblieben. Zu haben sind die Schuhe derzeit z.B. bei Sneaq.
Oscars 2009 WIN!: Miley Cyrus
I think I'm in the minority here but I really liked Miley Cyrus' dress. It was pretty and surprisingly age appropriate for such a detailed dress. The scallop layering and beading is immense and she did joke that the dress weighed more than her. The belt doesn't seem to quite go but isn't a complete disaster.
It's designed by Zuhair Murad who I must admit to not being familiar with. Trusty sidekick Google though has revealed that he makes very beautiful, intricate dresses and that we'll probably see a lot more from him in future.

Now given that Jessica Biel has a) one of the hottest bodies in Hollywood and b) one of the best pieces of arm candy in the form of Justin Timberlake, how the hell did she manage to look so fug?
A combination of a poorly fitting and, sadly to say, poorly designed Prada dress, messed up hair and blah make up. And no JT. And talking on her phone while on the red carpet.

Nike Dunk "Catfish" Customs - Solefood NYC Edition
Custom Sneaker sehen manchmal extrem professionell und deutlich besser als von der "Stange" aus. So z.B. dieser Nike Dunk "Catfish" Customs - Solefood NYC Edition. Revive Customs baute diesen Sneaker für den New Yorker Customs Sneaker Shop Solefood. Man beachte die vielen Details, die der Schuh aufweist. Wie z.B. der Name Catfish schon sagt, sieht man auf dem grünen Zwischenstück viele kleine Welse. Selbst die Nähte wurden nochmal nachgezogen, um einen größeren Kontrast zu erzeugen. Dieser Sneaker ist eine absolute Einzelanfertigung und nur bei Solefood zu bekommen. Also auf nach NYC.
