Our dear friend, Adriana, joked one day about Converse issuing a new sneaker every day. Maybe so, maybe not, we’re bound by the pleasures of wearing Converse sneakers here and that alone makes me want to bring you every novelty crossing my way signed Converse.
Today’s model bears the signature of Ryusaku Hiruma, a Japan-born designer who wanted to blend Florence’s history “with Converse’s legacy”. Thus the following models made from leather, hand-stitched with only 64 pairs of every model (Chuck Taylor All Star, Jack Purcell, One Star 1974, Star Tech high top). Each pair costs $700 and is currently available in Open Ceremony stores for the US and in London at Dover Street Market. Though it’s slightly off my chart, the new limited edition Converse looks pretty couture. What say you? (via 1, 2)
